I think that common nettiquete should prevail here. If it is a private conversation, keep it private. If it is the topic at hand, post it so that all can benefit. I personally don't care to read people's private mail on the list, as I have plenty of things in my box to sift through as it is, but if it's relevant I don't mind.

Just my two cents.

Hi Leaf,

Wow.

This weird idea of yours is the central idea

of the Upanishads and Advaita Vedanta. This

is the same idea that Gary and I were talking

about the other day, the idea that Atman is

Brahman.

Apparently you've rediscovered this idea

for yourself, based on your own experience.

In Hinduism, the people who discovered this

idea lived more than two thousand years ago.

They wrote down their experiences in books

called Upanishads. Those people are called

Rishis which means " sages. "

Looks like you just wrote a new Upanishad

and posted it on this mail list.

In case anybody here doesn't know, you are

twelve years old. You're a twelve-year-old

boy who got interested in this stuff two months

ago.

As they say in Tibetan Buddhism, " EMAHO!!! "

(Loosely translated, " THIS IS AMAZINGLY

COOL! " )

Amazed,

Rob
