Isn't it funny how life is like that? Nothing but bewilderment. Darn! :-) And religions/spirituality are doing a bang up business because of it! And we don't have to go too far to see it now do we? :-) The way of love is not a subtle argument. The door there is devastation. Birds make great sky-cirlces of their freedom. How do they learn it? They fall, and falling, they're given wings. ** Rumi -- Happy Days, Judi http://www.users.uniserve.com/~samuel/judi-1.htm TheEndOfTheRopeRanch

It is the defense of one's condition, one's search, one's suffering. The seeker who comes to the guru, however holy or serious he or she may seem to be, comes to defend himself or herself, to be righteously served, to be satisfied. But spiritual life is not the satisfaction of the search. I offer no " bones " , no strategic methods, no consolation, no beliefs, no thing! And I will never give the seeker a " bone " . Those who come for " bones " have no business waiting, becuase it is not going to happen. All of that has nothing whatever to do with Truth. It's all a lot of bullshit! That's all it is, and I don't spend any time tolerating it. Your trouble is your illusion. Your search is a reaction to your suffering. Your actual dilemma has barely been conceived by you, barely experienced. You come to me for another consolation, to prevent awareness of your suffering. You come for distraction, a fascination, a charming vision. You want to be consoled. But " why " do you want to be consoled by me? You are suffering! Yes? Since you are only suffering, why are you defending all of this nonsense? It is time to be rid of all of that. It is utterly unnecessary. It can be abandoned! The guru does not come to " satisfy " devotees or disciples. A satisfied disciple is still the one he or she was. The guru is only interested in the utter " radical " dissoluation of that whole limiiation that appears as the disciple. The guru is not here to satisfy that limitation, to make it feel comfortable. The guru is here to return people to their own experience, their always present, chronic experience, their dilemma, their unconsciousness. The guru is here to return people to that, not to prevent them from seeing it, not to keep them obsessively involved with symbols, or strategicallly achieved yogic stimulations of light and sound, or some complex, conditional vision of God, or some mere image of Reality, so that they will never experience and recognize their own state. The guru moves by non-support. The guru " undermines " the disciple. The guru skins the disciple! The guru does not tortue the disciple for fun, but the guru undermines that process which is the disciples suffering. The game of seekers is ended, as far as I'm concerned, and I am no longer entertaining that suffering. I am no longer concerned for ordinary life in the sense of this obstructed stupidity, this fascination, this search. It doesn't interest me. -- Happy Days, Judi http://www.users.uniserve.com/~samuel/judi-1.htm TheEndOfTheRopeRanch
Guest guest
Hi Judi, I believed you last time about Santa Claus but now I'm beginning to suspect that you protest too much. My wish list for Christmas is on its way privately.
