Guest guest
I am confused. This morning I realized that it is all right to be confused. That I don't have to try to make sense of anything. Even my confusion. But what I " must be " is fearless. When I am fearless I am at peace. And everything is all right. Even my confusion. But... How do I become fearless? When I am at peace I am fearless. These are thoughts that came to me this morning. From WaaveRyder

Thank goodness for confusion! It's like a buddy that lets us know that it would be excellent to snap out of whatever mindset we were in. You asked, "How do I become fearless?" I would say that we already are fearless, and that the fear that we sometimes experience is simply a superimposition, or a false notion, overlaying our natural fearless being. When I trace fear backwards in time (at what moment did I feel this fear?), I find that it is always triggered by some thought or image or some sensation that I had MISinterpreted as bad or wrong or trouble. In the openness and simple willingness to just take a good look at the triggering image or sensation (without trying to get rid of it), fear reveals, each time, quite clearly, all the different ways I am misinterpreting Reality.... and in that discovery, lands me right back in the center of It, where I had never actually left. Then what was once fear becomes gratitude. This transformation of fear into gratitude takes place by itself every single time I am simply willing to investigate. Being at peace and being fearless go together because in that moment there are no false impressions hiding our true nature. Best wishes to you in this marvelous discovery! Your willingness to be so honest with yourself absolutely guarantees success. Love to you, and to everybody, Kheyala
Guest guest
Hi again, WaaveRyder! I just reread your letter and got the impression this time that your thoughts on fear totally resolved themselves in peace. "When I am at peace I am fearless." How beautiful! What more could possibly be said? If that's the case, then I guess you can disregard my previous post! (giggle) That's so funny. I had the feeling I was talking to myself anyhow! Guest guest
Dear Kheyala, Thank you for both your post. And thank you especially for your first post to me. I feel blessed that you initially read my thoughts as you did because it lead you to comment. I am a bit wiser from the wisdom you shared. I especially enjoyed the " superimposition. " I thought of Ken Wilber's - boundaries upon boundaries upon boundaries. Your insights were gems. I am new here, also. Hello, to all. The 'Sept 11,2001,' was my first submission. I hope I will be hearing more from you. Yours in friendship and in silence, WaaveRyder.

I enjoyed both your posts. Here's Hafiz in his usual playful way. JUST LOOKING FOR TROUBLE I once had a student Who would sit alone in his house at night Shivering with worries And fears. And, come morning, He would often look as though He had been raped By a ghost. Then one day my pity Crafted for him a knife From my own divine sword. Since then, I have become very proud Of this student. For now, come night, Not only has he lost all his fear, Now he goes out Just looking for Trouble. Guest guest
I think that fearlessness has to do with how well you understand that this reality is illusion, and that all it really provides is lessons and laughter.
