Hi Sandeep --

Enjoying your frolics with Adya, and with

the kind shepherd dude, who didn't

want any wolves around ...

(I guess two wolves would be one too many

for him :-)

My impression after hearing Adya speak once:

He's a nice, friendly, cheerful

kind of fellow, who trained in Zen, and

who mostly speaks in ways that fit

with traditional Zen teaching.

He makes it clear

he is " there " , that he's got no sense of

clinging to self or Self,

and talks about

how realizing needs to be expressed

as balanced ways of relating and participation

in the world. There seems to be more

than a hint of criticism of teachers who,

unlike him, don't have

balanced relationships, or who don't participate

enough in the world. He's fairly young

and was followed around

by rather young people who seem

to like his " satsangs " , and like the

socialness of the occasion, and

who try to catch every word

he says, as if he's " there " where they

hope to be.

He has retreats to help them get it.

I guess it's the old shell game of the one who is

there and the ones trying to get there,

with all kinds of helpful hints posted,

like a bouquet that the bride throws

to the happy throng of seekers.

What a fun game, to follow around one who is

" there " and who will help me to be " there " .

I guess, reading below,

all I have to do is just be still :-)

Sounds familiar, somehow, like someone has

said that somewhere before :-)

Of course, that's all there ever has been,

or ever will be.

Where do these apparitions go, when

apparitions fade away?

Love,

Dan
