Guest guest
I want the bliss that Ramana and Sarada described when the illusory " I " no longer appeared in consciousness. I am not attracted to the no-Judi dead Judi model that see presents. Now I really think that she is not so tough as she appears and that some alternative mental states are occupying her consciousness. If I experienced her is person I might see that she is not heartless but exudes though love. I hope so. Judi can I have all the email address' of your ranch hands to give them a questionnaire? hehehe Thirty years ago we listened to Ram Dass' gita tapes and not only changed our diets, but experimented with many spiritual offerings. We studied with Nechung Rimpoche on the Big Island, took the vipasana course at Barre, but all those details were not to my liking. Many Many light and sound initiations ended in me wanting someone to kill me to end my suffering. Then Mr Horn appeared and told us about Ramana and Nisargadatta. Instantly, when I read the first 30 pages of " I Am That " I got a hit like I just puffed some pakalolo. Since then, with a few diversions I have done the " To whom " and the " I Am " practice. Someone who generally has wall to wall thoughts during their meditations would become disenchanted after 25 years of average sitting 2 hours per day, but to the contrary I am more energized. Why, because I know it will happen for me if I keep up my earnestness. I wont loose focus like some others do. When you do some kind of training 6 or more hours per day you can see your progress. The final transformation on a cellular level may be beyond progress, but up until that happens there is finite progress to be aware of. I read some of my posts and saw that it was pontificating bullyrag so I wont do it unless I share some personal stuff like the females on this group are doing. The rest of the stuff no longer interests me. The three woman sharing here, is heart opening and I like that kind of hit. For me its all about being aware of a mind that is out turned as opposed it inward turned. This practice is simplicity personified. What ever objects appear including the " Silence " , you ask in words or in a non-verbal way, " To Whom " . This brings the Attention back to the Attention of the eye that cannot see it self. That is all there is to do. It's simplicity par excellence. Everything that this world has to offer, though exciting at first, then becomes boring. Even is some of my sexual fantasies are ever fulfilled I know I would soon become bored and resentful that I am being diverted from sitting practice. It's a great gift you have Alton, use it. Judi I practiced an average of 8 hours per day for 14 years tuning pianos in the morning and practicing the whole day long. It was really bliss even though I am musically challenged. Now I have not touched the piano for months. I only have interest in learning how to meditate. That has been going on for 25 years. We dug out rocks on our homestead for 6 years and build a wall around our garden. This was my delusion that we could grow all our own food and then I could meditate all day. Well it took so much work and on a diet with no flesh or eggs I crashed finally and realized that it was sort of a karmic joke. The whole thing was arranged for me to fulfill my karma with my grandson who was not supposed to be born. His mom's doctor said she could never have kids and that if she went off her kidney and asthma medicine she would die. Well we were gutsy and threw away all her medicines. No drug store for 50 to 75 miles and she went through horrendous withdrawals and got healed enough to have two kids, which lived with us most of their lives. I want to find what I never lost and cant loose. Here is my site that Karta did. It cant take many hits so wait if you cant get in and try again. http://www.geocities.com/lostnfoundation/ LV. em-tee

Now too old to party hardy, using antidepressants and Viagra. He substitutes license for truth. But he stretched himself so thin, he glimpsed a lot. And I give him credit for his expressions of clarity, which were strong in his lucid moments. Before He had to Start capitalizing All His Utterances, having devotees memorize His Names and Stories, and demanding gifts or go away ... LOL! The proof is in the pudding, and the pudding of narcissistic investment in being the world teacher with throngs of lovely needy devotees is well boiled over in his case.
