Guest guest
We all seem to come into this lifetime with prescribed mental tendencies and they may change or be released not by anyone saying that we are doing it wrong. Everything happens by it self with no one doing it. I have observed that fact since we took the Buddhist retreat in Barre 28 years ago. We believe that we are the doers, but if that were true, should we not be able to stop those unsolicited incessant thoughts grabbing our attention away from the always present time "I Am" sense of conscious presence? Guest guest
The brain can run on automatic pilot, Alton. You can see a thought like you see anything else but your will determines whether you'll pay any attention to it. Remember this story I think I told you, once? With the roar I started to rise up with lightening speed in the third eye tunnel but the vision of a man stopped me short. He seemed to be coming in as I was going out and so I smiled and told him he was in my tunnel and I shooed him away. He looked scared as he hovered there in bed between my husband and I except in another dimention so maybe I should have been nicer. ANYWAY, my consciousness was hovering over the bed in a white cloud as I watched him and our sleeping bodies. My sleeping head was just snoring away when this little cartoon balloon appeared beside it and I saw my brain making a little dream. It was an interpretation of what was going on in my conscious awareness with the zooming into a field of white. The dream was of people sledding down a steep incline whizzing throught the snow. It was so funny to watch my own brain make a story surrounding what it kind of knew was going on in another line of thought. The will is a choice what what to pay attention to in a myriad of possibilities. The will can choose not to pay attention to anything and anything can tune out and turn into snow. The only thing the will can't ignore is the snow itself when all thoughts and impulses end because the will is the beginning thought. Guest guest
Wondering where you've been? Your so much fun to have around! Onniko: The brain can run on automatic pilot, Alton. You can see a thought like you see anything else but your will determines whether you'll pay any attention to it. Currently I am giving up the "will" and replacing it with the "way". Guest guest
Come back immediately, Karta! Devi doesn't care. Look how many people go after her and she always comes back for more. I really don't understand what it is about her that turns a lotus lipped lover of no ego into a raving lunatic. She seems nice enough to me. Judi, too, and Dan and the rest, they're all just ordinary folks, don't you think? Guest guest
Dear Karta: Thanks, but we here are deficient in Capricorn instigational energies and I hate to sell anything. You can handle that idea with my sanction.
