Guest guest
Hi Alak, Welcome to the group. I had forgotten that the description of this forum says it's " a place for people to talk about their experiences while enlightenment is happening. " Unhappy confusion is an experience, isn't it? Maybe you're thinking of " spiritual experiences " like samadhis and so forth. Onniko wrote some wonderful messages here a few months ago of that kind. (In case anybody wants to search for them, she talked in one of them about riding in her husband's truck at night.) Other people have written a lot here over the years about their spiritual experiences and experiences with meditation and other practices. You're welcome to do the same. Maybe it will start that sort of conversation going again. I know somebody who went through an intense bhakti (devotional) period for a couple of years. It was involuntary. He kept seeing and hearing God everywhere and crying uncontrollably at the wonderfulness of it all. He says it meant as much or as little as seeing special effects in a movie. If God is everything, it doesn't really matter what you see, does it? No matter which way the telescope is pointed, you're seeing God. But Ramana Maharshi disagreed with this. He said God is at the other end of the telescope. God, he said, is whatever is looking out of the telescope, not what is seen with it. Best wishes, Rob - " alak_azam " <alak_azam <Realization > Friday, October 31, 2003 11:25 PM Hello I am new here > > Hello I am new here. Isn't this club about experiences? If you read Ramana you will find that his offerings are like the bible. You can find words to prove any contention. I remember reading where one becomes all objects and therefore they are one and the same with the SELF. Much Aloha, Alton

Guest guest
My $.02 on this is that, to me, I am a hollow tube that God flows through. The less there is of me, the more room there is for God. It is when the walls of the tube become so thin that they disappear that joy/understanding/knowledge is complete. Vijay Kumar is the guy who said he is enlightened and was willing to answer all my questions to my complete satisfaction. He was attacked by another soul who claimed Realization. Guest guest
Sorry the last one went by mistake. See below for reply. > Dear Devi:> Remember not to believe anything anybody says and you will be alright forever.> Will write you about the group I got banned from. Dont want to crap up this group.> Love,> AltonWith that advice why should she believe anything you say about the experience with the other group at all anyway ? Devi has enlightened intuition and she knows somebody who is honest and truthful and knows the nature of reality like a sage. I can understand not buying into whatever is put out there at face value. But also see that it could be closing off an avenue as well. What I meant was to suspend judgement so that all the facts can be well considered before accepting or rejecting, concepts, opinions, beliefs and editorializing. Hey come to think of it, then what good would it do for you to ask this Kumar guy any questions? After all you couldn't trust it anyway so really seems to be a total waste of time and energy. See the last paragraph for explanation. When someone is totally open to answering questions and is willing to post their correct name, I see them as being truthful and I am more willing to accept what they offer. I trust my own intuition along with my Scopio investigative gifts. Not trying to yank your chain just trying to get a handle on your point of view. alak_azam <Just one view along the road> Guess what? If you are able to yang my chain, then you will remain my friend as long as you wish, because if you are able to do that then I will find more Self limiting attachments that are hindering my quest for a purified mind.
