Guest guest
If any of you guys would like to REALLY help, email me and I'll give you an address over there in Baghdad where you can send your notes of appreciation, support and packages to the soldiers. I assure you, they will be WELL received! AND, please pass the address on to all your family and friends. And send toys and goodies if you'd like for the Iraqi kids over there, the soldiers will be MOST happy to give them out. Michael said their poverty is atrocious. Ooo-AH! Guest guest
A pleasure to see some compassion here, Judi. I would like to make a suggestion based on experience in VN: please encourage well meaning people NOT to send fruitcake. Other than that soldiers stuck in a war love to share, batches of cookies, anything that can be shared: john Nisargadatta , " judirhodes " <judirhodes@z...> wrote: > If any of you guys would like to REALLY help, email me and I'll give > you an address over there in Baghdad where you can send your notes of > appreciation, support and packages to the soldiers. > > I assure you, they will be WELL received! > > AND, please pass the address on to all your family and friends. > > And send toys and goodies if you'd like for the Iraqi kids over > there, the soldiers will be MOST happy to give them out. They especially like chips and dip and junk food snacks, crackers and cheese, jerky, etc. And yes, they definitely share them all around, I'm sure you know how THAT goes! :- ) So cute they are, how they play with each other. My Michael just called me this morning from over there in Baghdad, and he's fine, been busy off base training the Iraqi Army guys so they can take over. And he said they were told to let their family and friends know that the mail is very slow now and to send their Christmas packages NOW. May all beings be happy! One other idea is music; The Do-wap tapes sent from our black guys' families would have us singing and dancing, while clearing our heads and hearts.
