Guest guest
On the other hand, there's a maxim by Publilius Syrus: " Let a fool hold his tongue and he will pass for a sage. " And: " He knows not when to be silent who knows not when to speak. " I just noticed that quite a few of his maxims can be read as having something to do with realization. This is pretty amusing. For instance: " The highest condition takes rise in the lowest. " " He sleeps well who knows not that he sleeps ill. " " Whatever you can lose, you should reckon of no account. " " It is sometimes expedient to forget who we are. " " We may with advantage at times forget what we know. Guest guest
There is something related to Realizations in all maxims. The one who tries to reach the meaning of the words or taughts will receive a meaning from his/her own self. The one who let the whole moves him/her feels the spirit beyond all realisation. Guest guest
Dear Rob: You are one of the few moderators that have either a great sense of humor or are very tolerant of weird types. I know that some of the other devotee types must get very irritated as they must not think that God/dess has a sense of humor and would be offended. S/He sure does to allow this mess of a creation to continue to exit. Those that dont have much of a sense of humor may be the ones that think it is ok to kill people who have other beliefs about God then they have. Actually wont let me get rid of the MT one and I actually send this from unbound like I send the other ones and it never appears as Mark Train. I think this group may wake up again soon. Guest guest
> You are one of the few moderators that have either a great sense of > humor or are very tolerant of weird types. I'll offer a third possibility. I have a lousy sense of humor, but at least I have one. The problem may be that some people who are interested in this stuff have no sense of humor at all. Therefore when we say something funny (funny to us, anyway) it never occurs to them that we are being whimsical or silly or humorous and they get offended. They are so ..... earnest. I can easily understand why the impulse to purposely provoke such people is a constant temptation for certain individuals who I will be kind enough not to name. > > I think this group may wake up again soon. So please REVEAL your Self so that he does not pull the plug. There may be that impulse to purposely provoke but whos impulse is it and if someone is provoked shall they then be thankful for seeing Self limiting attachments? Everytime I am provoked I get a chance to release ENERGY KNOTS. How about you or anyone else that reads this stuff here? Gee, I'm not sure how much you care to see, and the guidelines for chatter have been thrown out and made fairly clear and I am sufficiently intimidated. I was looking for a group of people who have gone far enough in with their meditation and personal life experiences who are comfortable in sharing the interesting noticings when the boundaries of various levels of reality/awareness dissolve and new ones appear. I just wanted some company on my path as its getting weird, fun, and lighter, after many years of being horrifying and shattering. I am accepting of these new perceptions most of the time, and don't need to attach to it through to much analysis, but I was just wondering if I would now have the capacity to dream up a few buddies to snicker with over the wonder of it all... I They are only guildlines but not cast in stone. Go back and read the messages during April 03 when there were over 800 posts and you will see that Rob did not pay any attention to them. Personal attacks are not allowed except when someone that Rob idolizes does it, like Judy. I'm sorry to see that something was said here that made you feel intimidated. If I contributed to that, please accept my apologizes. There are no rules or guidelines here except that personal attacks are not allowed. > I just wanted some company on my path as its getting > weird, fun, and lighter, after many years of being horrifying > and shattering.
