Q: Is it not possible to attain the omniscience in which all the events of past, present and future are known to us?

A: There is absolutely nothing which can be attained.

* * * * * *

Greetings to Derek and everyone. I am new to this group.

I am curious why you hide behind other names. Is one mask not enough?

"There is absolutely nothing which can be attained" has resonance.

The reason nothing can be attained, is that there is no one

there to attain anything. We are already all of it.

Awakening is the realization that there is no one there.

Nobody home. There is just the Oneness, playing at

being many, the Awareness in which everything arises.

I (who?) am abiding with this from Tony Parsons:

"Awakening is simply the dropping of seeking.

What drops away is the one who is looking for something.

Awakening is absolutely, purely and simply the discovery

that there's nothing to look for.

And therefore out of that not looking,

and realizing that this is it,

comes love..

I am looking at love;

I am looking at the divine _expression.

That's falling in love..

That's what happens."

Love, Light and Blessings,

Janet

Hi Janet:

If you dont mind me jumping in because I have many names. The Komo Kasha one is going to be my name again

as soon as inheritance issues are in the past.

What anyone is doing is like every other events in life. It is just happening according to the Universal so far unknown laws of cause and effect. Your abiding in the teachings of Tony Parsons are that too.

As long as it works for you, stay with it. Dont let any negativity toward Tony dissuade you.

Dipamkara who recently appeared and seems to be my dharma soul mate asked me this question on the group I moderate and would like to share it here in the hopes that other members answer it also.

See below.

Love,

Komo Kasha aka Alton Slater.

Dipamkara: Please can you explain what it is you have been working towards for the last 28 years?

That is a great question for kk who loves to answer.

I remember telling Jack Kornfield about being able to stop my heart like Swami Rama. Then it was exposed that he used his power as a guru to have lots of sex with lots of woman. So that is out unless I can do it when my heart is stopped. lololol.

Then it was Sant Mat and traversing the higher planes out of the body.

I had an aversion to their teachings, but went along with it because of the Sound thing. As a piano tuner I thought I had the right training to progress. I have to admit that I still remember liking those OOB flights, but that is out now that I have apparently been banned from OOB travel.

Then came Nisargadatta and Ramana. Self Realization not only did not happen but the whole concept doesn't attract me unless all reactivity is also neutralized. Nisargadatta seemed quite reactive, ejecting visitors who traveled many miles to see him, without reason.

Back to Buddhism with out the religious thing, because that is where the great knowledge of the mind and body is.

What do I want? To continue to train, gaining more mindfulness and its necessary component concentration.

Neutralizing attention grabbing energy knots stored in consciousness due to rather unpleasant or pleasant events, that one was not mindful of. Freedom from all compulsive behaviors. More and more love and interconnectedness.

Freedom from attachment to desire and fear.

The ability to stay centered no matter what event appears. I certainly dont want ENLIGHTENMENT because I dont see it as a process that is on a sliding scale.

Now all the other members please answer this question if your have a desire to do so, but the question is now tailored to your own practice and the amount of years..

Love,

kk
