I actually meant the questions for the person who wrote the post "a critique" and signed it with the "name" - "anamo"....

 

I am planning to answer my own question to you from the other day and at the same time welcome "Janet" to our conversations.... Because, I have a question for her, also:

 

"Janet", why would you think we are "hiding" behind names? By your use of the word "abiding" I sense that you could be on the Dharma path of Buddhism? I am a Buddhist [as is everyone, they just don't know it yet - lololol ].

 

Anyway, I am planning to answer some of the questions your own question addresses. That is a great quote from Tony Parsons, thanks.

 

Janet, one other thing, the post you reference was not something I wrote, but was from Huang Po, there is a full citation at the end of the quote so that anyone interested in further reading of the Zen teachings of Huang Po may find the same volume from which I extracted that quote. I wish others would provide bibliographical citations for quotes they post so that it would be clearer whose thoughts they are posting and so that one could buy the whole book if they were inspired to do so. [Hint-hint, KK-san re: Mystique series....]

 

I firmly believe that one should go to the original source of particular thoughts/ideas... many inspirational things some contemporary writers say/write are sometimes paraphrasing if not actually repeating words from ancient wisdom....

 

You know my earthly name from above... I am many names, you may even call me "Janet" if you like, also.... but you doesn't has to call me "Mr." [heheheh]

 

Well, it will be great to read more about yours and "anamo'sabidings."
