Guest guest
Hi Derek/Dipamkara What does Dipamkara signify to you? What do your friends call you? You say: **"Janet", why would you think we are "hiding" behind names? After I wrote that, I remembered that "Jesus" is apparently operating under various names, depending on the channel: Jeshua, Raj, Sananda, Brother etc. But then he knows he is all of it! His messages are remarkably consistent. I spent a long time abiding with A Course in Miracles and related channellings. ** By your use of the word "abiding" I sense that you could be on the Dharma path of Buddhism? I am a Buddhist [as is everyone, they just don't know it yet - lololol ]. A Buddhist? Who needs labels? ! Buddhism helped me for about 10 years, then I moved on. Buddha just pointed the way. There is no need to build a shrine to worship his finger! Tony Parsons is an 'abiding' inspiration: 'Seeking is the continual denial of home. It's the most effective way not to discover than home already is; I am already that. "No I can't be - it must be over there. I've got to clear my chakras. I must go and see some master or other. I must still the mind. I must destroy the ego." It's all nonsense; it is saying this is not it.' Love, Light and Blessings, Satchitananda. Why do you feel they are 'hiding' behind names? I find this question to be meaningless. Who Cares! I had a time in my life when I died. Physical and spirtual. On that path I did change my name. Why? Because I knew that the other woman had died. Am I hiding? Hiding from what? Kathryn
Guest guest
Hello All, Regarding spontaneous enlightenment, i think that both work and " grace " may be needed. Certainly, there is no conceptual path from the mundane to the trancendent. However, i believe that practice can prepare the mind so that the jump can occur. I have had a few experiences of the trancendent, so i know what the word refers to, but as soon as i try to deal with the world, i get lost. The most valuable thing i have got from buddhism is the discovery that, for me, compassion acts as a bridge. Still it's not easy. I agree that people tend to obsess about the finger that points. Probably, it worked once or twice. It is known, therefore feels safe. It satisfies the desire for hope and for security. But if it doesn't work anymore, it doesn't work anymore. Anyway, i do think enlightenment is spontaneous, by nature, and that working toward it is helpful. Good wishes. Mac > > > Hi Derek/Dipamkara > > What does Dipamkara signify to you?
