Guest guest
> I was comparing Sri Ramana with the new pope It's apples and oranges. They are different sorts of things. The pope is in the business of telling people what to think and how to live. That's his job because telling people those sorts of things is the purpose of the church. Ramana almost never said anything about what to think or how to live. That wasn't his function. That's not what he did. > Does Ramana have that many followers? This pope doesn't have any followers. The church has members. If he lives long enough maybe he'll gain a personal following like John Paul had. You're upset because the pope thinks homosexuality is evil. Well of course he thinks that, because the Bible says so. What in the world do you expect him to think? How could he think otherwise? It's his job to think that. Well I suppose he could follow the examples of some of the Protestant denominations who have stopped basing their teachings on what the Bible says. But the Roman church is too bound by tradition. Guest guest
Ah, Alton, you overestimate me. I don't have humility. What I have is the sin of self-contempt. > Please email me when you are willing to > have me as your CHELA. Sure, why not. We can start today. What sort of chelation would you like?
