Guest guest
Hi Alton. I just got home after being away for a couple of weeks without email. You're really been posting up a storm here. Have you noticed any lingering beneficial effects from the retreat you went on? Your friend, Rob

There may or may not be any lingering effects because as Susuki Roshi said nothing can ever be repeated, however things have been very heavy since the retreat. I needed to go back on a non flesh eating diet, even though I know my health is suffering. At a certain point in one's life it is better to follow that inner voice that says it is dead wrong to grab some animal and kill them. Now on the Buddhist groups they are telling us that it is ok to eat them if you dont do the killing. That does not sit well me at all and I don't have to lay it out for you. Also my meditation practice had been cut in half probably because other desires have to be acted out first and for financial reasons. We are planning on both going to the next retreat July 1, if I can make some bucks daytrading. I know more about daytrading than I do anything else so the probability of making unlimited bucks trading seems good. I am also working on of my write-up on meditation practice and the modern Buddha. The Buddhists will hate me for it as they will say that I am committing one of the grave sins. Killing one's parents, killing an arhant and I cant remember the rest right now. Disrupting the sangat is included in that list of 5, I think. Would you like me to post it here when it is finished in a couple of weeks, hopefully? It will revolutionize the spiritual journey, excellerating the progress one makes 1 million fold. Aloha, Alton
