4-28-2002:

 

Things have been moving and changing so fast for me over the past couple of

years I can hardly catalog or remember them all. I fought against God for some

years. I studied what others had said about Him and I studied the ideas of those

who declared He doesn't exist.

When my back was finally to the wall, when life had no more promises for me than

more and greater misery, when I saw where decades of my best thinking had gotten

me, then I came to see it was a very one-sided fight. I was fighting myself and

my toxic-shamed personality. I was fighting my own dark and perverse ego while

the whole time God just stood by with hand extended, " Are you ready to come

home, son? "

 

12-23-2002:

 

Consciousness itself is the true ground of our being. The apparent world is a

diminished vision or perception of the true Reality. Our ordinary awareness is

limited by the narrow range of what can be known through the senses.

 

We see, we hear, feel, touch, taste and thereby weave a world of present

perceptions and strung together memories. These perceptions and memories are

further diminished and distorted by that inner knot of tension known as the ego.

 

We imagine that somehow this feeling of being an awake individual being allows

us true perception of reality. But this so-called waking consciousness of the

small everyday self is just a slight disturbance on the surface of the pond...

 

5-28-2004:

 

Over the years I've loved Vedanta, somehow it always called to me even in my

darkest periods. I was raised on hellfire and brimstone, pretty sure my doom was

eternally sealed. Then here comes the glory of Vedanta, the world's oldest

spiritual tradition, telling me not only am " I " not a damned sinner destined for

hell but instead I am God in disguise playing out a dream in maya.....it all

just is as it is and I accept it, love it, thank God for it. And now it's time

" I " be quiet.....hmmm..who am I?
