Guest guest
Actually, if you can truly free associate, there is nothing more you need to do or find out. Freud's ploy was to use the finding of the original event as a carrot to continue the therapy. Anyone who can free associate, who truly feels free for anything to " come up " from " anywhere " at " any time " -- no longer has a concern to arrive at any conceptual understanding of an " original event " that " caused " a " problem " -- Free association is problem-free awareness, acausal, nondependent, not striving to get anywhere or have anything. Free association is the moment of death -- this instant -- free to be whatever, know nothing, have nothing.
