Guest guest
~ There may be no observer, but there is observation. You are observing these words now, are you not? What is that which observes, which is aware? Mental attempts to resolve the paradox do not lead to revelation. >Xan...How can You Notice Silence when there is No Observer...? > >Nisargadatta, Xan <xanma@e...> wrote: > > > > He taught me to notice it. Guest guest
Yes...You are Right...Xan...there is Observation taking Place and there are No Mental Attempts to Resolve the Paradox of Finding the Final Answer other than " I don't Know...! " Naturally...I Look at this Life We Live In as a Process that Creates Consciousness as It Moves and Out of this Consciousness Comes a Whole Pack of Lies so Let Me Ask You this...Xan... Guest guest
Namaste, David. I appreciate your profound question and other observations you've shared about silence that can't be observed ;-) You cannot notice silence. Silence is " no observer present and nothing being observed " . The silence which can be discussed as if it is something observed and able to be put into language, is not the silence that cannot be discussed. As " I " am not, silence is. That this silence is " I " is quite true. Because I can't observe it, I am it. Because there is no " I " to hear it, it is truly silence. Not becoming anything. Not going anywhere. Void of any qualities, characteristics, or observers, neither an inside or outside to it. We discuss it simply because there are observers thinking that they observe, when in fact, there are no observers in existence anywhere, and no silence to be discussed.
