Guest guest
The first " I am everything " . The first " I am everything " is pretty crappy. In the unregenerate mind. I am not just this grand universe I perceive, I am not just my own personal crummy, and not so crummy, little life experiences, I am everything I have ever read or heard about Hitler, and every other piece of crap I have ever absorbed from day one, burried deep in my " unconscious " . I am the whole ball of wax. This is not a pretty thing to prove to one's self. That one is all the positve and all the negative that has ever come down in the human and not so human race. Guest guest
Hi Elizabeth, >I am everything I have ever read or heard > about Hitler, and every other piece of crap > I have ever absorbed from day one Since the goal is to mess up the " I am " mechanism, one does not necessarily have to go so far. One could, perhaps, merely use the visual sense, or the hearing sense, or both, on a daily basis. e.g., everything I see and hear is " I " . Done with enough intensity, the " I am " mechanism gets messed up, and poof, it's gone. I'm assuming you agree with me that the " I am " is simply another object -- an abstract mental construct. I'm a newbie to this group and haven't had time to read much of it yet. I do have the book, " I Am That " , but am a newbie at it, also. Musty. Guest guest
Hi Elizabeth, > I take it you are referring to > today's Jewels? > By Ramesh Balsekar? I don't think so. What I meant is this. The " I " mechanism is normally identified with the body. But if I start seeing the " outside " environment as who I am, this interferes with the normal process of how the " I " mechanism works. Done with enough intensity, it may disrupt the " I " mechanism enough to cause it to stop working. The outside evironment I see is, after all, is simply a process within the brain. So it's not so difficult to see on an intellectual basis, at least, that everything I experience is actualy who I am. In deep sleep, when this sense of I is in abeyance, there is no experience. The split second this sense of I wakes up in the morning, the experience is simply an all pervasive sense of well-being.
