I have times of suspension of involvment with mental activity and idebtification with what I am seeing, thinking and feeling. THese are moments of what I would describe as 'Pure conscious awareness'. Going inot cognition there is nothing to describe since I am in a different state. The discussions and exchanges help me identify with other people's 'experiemces' but the paradox is that what 'happens' is not an expreience. So what is the point . At best I could say that everything I talk about is not 'I AM' and what is left over from everyday life might be. The value for me in reading the news letters is knowing there are people like me. It is good to know that there are points of consciousness united with mine in the ' void'. What can I say? THe readings are stimulating for me and I commend all the efforts to reach that point. One last point. Going beyond that M talks about. THis seems to suggest effort of some sort and will. In the total stillness there is no motion, effort or will. What does it mean 'go beyond' or 'go inside'. I can't make any sense of it since the state I understand and can describe badly is 'total surrender.' Alan B
