Guest guest
On Time and Consciousness ************************** Before " That " -- Consciousness After " That " -- Consciousness. This never became other than The Self -- it is therefore that " Self " . " That " - Being made visible by Consciousness - Consciousness lies beyond The Now in which " That " is appearing. " That " , then is nothing but the Past. " That " , which is all that can appear is nothing but a result of the past; even to the extent of what appears in The Now. For even at the moment of its' appearance " That " is already receeding , has receeded. " That " , therefore is not what it seems to be; Time. Time is only measured in relation to what has passed. Awareness in the same way is unknowable except by the past. " That " , Then is the eternal consciousness, ever aware. Awareness in the sense of One being aware of " That " , then is merely awareness of the mind; but awareness in the sense of being aware of consciousness is not awareness, but Consciousness. itself. This Consciousness is therefore transcendant of awareness, and with that transcendance, " That " is also left behind. Here Consciousness is released from the bonds of the mind and from its (consciousness's) own manifestation. Consciousness Self exists in its act, which is consciousness this act manifests an ever expanding plethora of myriad reflections in itself (which reflections of themselves) can never define the whole, because consciousness has already left that Now in which " That " , might or does appear. All Time - Eternity has therefore passed, it is already over. There is no Time; therefore no past, no future, NO Now. There is only or merely COnsciousness - creating non-existence in imaginary dreams. There is no dream, (Past) No dreamer,(Present) and no future (Dreaming). it could then be said that " That " is reality, but no! " That " too is false; because of the transcendance of awareness. If then enlightenment, realization etc. be sought, remian beyond evidence - hold the attention ahead of all that arises in the mind as you meditate; plunge that attention into that space; become lost there before Time; if before then after also; Time comes to an end here. " That " , appearing out there beyond the questing mindexterior to the Consciousness is nothing other than the product of that consciousness. It is not the consciousness, because the consciousness it its source. " That " , is merely the knowledge of consciousness; it is its (Consciousness's). It is the knowledge which consciousness has of itself; the name of " That " is Time. Consciousness being before " That " , " That " then arising; that act of consciousness's moving as Time itself; rather than the known (limited knowledge as opposed to omniscience) manifests as all these diverse atoms of the knowable which is consciousness. Nothing else is therefore knowable except that consciousness with trillions of names and forms each merely a spark of that Consciousness. The whole of " That " or a spark of " That " , never became for the time in which " That " would become does not exist; " That " , Then is not the Self - or it is The Self --- because it has not become anything different from " That " Self! Yet while Consciousness in itself remians, that self does not exist! but comes into being at the moment of cognition of selfhood, be that Selfhood Isvara, Vishnu, Siva, Krishna or any other being upto Atman Purusha and so on. Consciousness even at this extent, transcends any Selfhood displayed, as " That " , whille " That " display is the Self-of-Consciousness - It is Siva, Vishnu, Krishna, and so on. ___________________________ http://store..au - Store - The fastest, easiest way to open an online store. Guest guest
Poetic and insightful stuff - thanks for the post! The " appearance that something is appearing " is time. Time seems to be " time-ing " , an ongoing activity or state of affairs. However, observed closely, it is always receding, and what is always receding never is. And this " always receding never is " , includes the observer. Time cannot observe time; therefore, an observer never really takes place, as any observer is time. And what is observed therefore has no validation, including even ideas that there is something called " Consciousness " , or that there is " voidness " or " emptiness " for that matter ;-) There is no validation available whatsoever for any observer, observed fact, or " eternal reality or truth " which can be indicated or discussed. This appearance of appearing, of an observer discussing observations -- this is the basis of science, society, and religious discourse -- yet, as it requires an observer who never can be -- it can only appear to appear ... without ever really having an opening, a starting point at which the appearance can begin to happen. This " always receding " of anything to do with time, the observer, the observer's observations of self, world, or Self -- who is observing that, speaking of that? How can it appear to appear, if there never is a starting point for it to begin to happen? It appears to have a beginning because there is the concept " beginning " . It appears to be observed, because there is the experience of observations/events occurring. That the concept " beginning " never began, and that the experience of observations/events occurring never happened ... doesn't prevent the appearance of appearing to appear. There is nothing to prevent what never could happen from appearing to occur, when the appearance is constructed in such a way that its point of observation never exists, and its self-validation never is based on anything anywhere.
