Guest guest
Hi Peter! Thanks for sharing this excellent and humorous story. Also, the part about Maharaj, who was indeed playing the third monk! As I'm laughing here, I'm also hearing the one who never broke the vow of silence! (And it's not me!) You know, the one who never had to take a vow in the first place! Love, Dan With no judgement whatsoever and with the best of intentions, the story comes to mind of the three monks who took a vow of silence for seven days. At sunset on the first evening one of the monks speak to an attendant to light the candle, " you spoke " said the second, " I am the only one who has not spoken " said the third monk. So speaking as the third monk, Maharaj was adamant that any criticism of others was not to be tolerated under any circumstances, for as you see beauty you are beauty, and as you see criticism you are also that. Love and best wishes and back to the vow Peter
