Guest guest
Hi Peter, That was quite a funny story. Thanks for sharing it. It reminded me of the three monkeys. You know the ones - with the hands over their mouth, their ears, and their eyes? :-))) > So speaking as the third monk, Maharaj was adamant that any >criticism of others was not to be tolerated under any circumstances, >for as you see beauty you are beauty, and as you see criticism you >are also that. He may have been adamant with those monks, but he also said, " All I can tell you is the way I traveled and invite you to take it. " It wasn't like he found a bunch of commandments behind a burning bush or something. :-) Kidding aside, Peter.....I'm sorry if my antics make you uncomfortable in anyway. .. And I'm sorry you broke his commandment by trying to help us other 'wayward little monk-eys'. But you see... I have made no such 'vow of silence'. And, when the mood strikes, I still quite enjoy playing a different type of monk-ey game - the one called " monk-ey see, monk-ey do " :-)) Peter, you may not know this....I don't admit this to just everyone.....but I have been told, on very good authority, that this body-mind complex I inherited was programmed by a She-devil. [True story!] So I have great trust in something else Nisargadatta has said, " The world is but a show, glittering and empty. It is, and yet it is not. It is there as long as I want to see it and take part in it. When I cease caring, it dissolves. It has no cause and serves no purpose. It just happens when we are absent minded. " >Love and best wishes and back to the vow My love and best wishes to you, too. Melody
