Guest guest
The " I Am " is the consciousness. The " I am a particular body-mind " is the person. Maharaj is consciousness. And he is talking to the consciousness. Your first step is to get used to the idea you are the consiousness. Familiarize yourself with this consciousness. Start identifying yourself with this consciousness. From the day you are born, until the day you die, this consciousness in principle is the most constant. Whereas the body is continually changing. As is the content of the mind. El
Guest guest
> Your first step is " First step " suggests a conscious, deliberate movement *towards* something. And yet, as Ramesh has just stated, such an act of intention is not only unneccesary, it is often ineffective. Seeing one's self as 'stepping toward' something ......especially enlightenment... can serve to *solidify* that sense of 'me' - rather than help to dissolve it, as the 'me' may be intending. Interesting conumdrum for 'me'. :-) May as well have had a V-8? :-))) Melody
