Guest guest
Dear Elizabeth, Having 'experienced' this numerous times, this is a fantastic description. Hollow is a wonderful word for this -- empty, hollow, meaningless, useless, dead. Dan Berkow calls it " Futility, " or so I interpret his descriptions. Never noticed some 'event' locatable in time ( " one fine day " ) that could be equated to 'throwing in the towel', but 'experience' may vary. Maybe the towel hasn't been thrown in... Who knows? Maybe there is no towel. Maybe it can be a series of 'little deaths'. Interpretations of an 'experience' can only vary. But futility is utterly beautiful.
