Guest guest
Hi Elizabeth, I'm guessing, too, that these tapes were probably made in the 70's. If there was a need for them to be sent through the mail, it could be very expensive to ensure they remain undamaged (a little magnetism can erase a cassette tape in a heartbeat). That's why I'm thinking the best way would be for Cathy to do the digitizing, although if she doesn't have the right software/hardware, second best would be to " dub " onto new tapes and send those (which would add additional noise, but would be acceptable -- and no great loss if they accidentally got broken or erased in the mail). As for the 4-5 minutes, again that's up to her... but if there's a postal exchange, it makes sense here to do the whole batch at once (*of course* with her permission I would upload something here to the list, I wouldn't keep the list in suspense ;-). Love, Tim
