Guest guest
Unless " know " implies something beyond head-knowledge, isn't there a sort of implied contradiction? Feelings and thoughts aren't different -- feelings are a sort of thought. That would imply Dan's " split in Reality. " I would look at it this way: " I feel like I am, and I know that I am " -- possible (but 'dual') " I feel like I am but I know that I'm not " -- split (also 'dual') " I feel like I'm not and I know that I'm not " -- impossible There is no way out for thought. " I Am " and " I Am Not " are both within thought, when involving feeling and knowledge (which require consciousness). How about this: " I neither Am nor Am Not. " -- As a statement of fact, a conceptual assertion and thus 'dual', as the bare fact... nondual. If " I know I am not " points to " apperceived, experiential non-head- knowledge " , please forgive me for intruding :-).
