I do not remember whether it was you that responded to me, using the 'Dear Abby' 'koan' ... and I might be mistaken, but it sounds to me that a cocktail of an advanced-transcendental-'all is illusion' mentality coupled with a pinch of irony/arrogance and patronizing,.. while trying to tell me how idiotic it is on my shore and what a gloriously superior wisdom, is on yours, seems to be the essense of your compassionate reply. The downgrading and belittling of another's crisis or specific problems, is an approach of many nondualist-Minds. Their 'sh** on This, 'cause you are That' is their wilfully self- deafening and spiritual-ego-survival, ultimate mantra. I doubt you can cheat your way around 'This'.. the first step actually Is 'This'. Ther is only the first step. In that sense, there is always 'This' within which 'That' might be. But if your 'That' is total refusal/blindness/resistance to this mere 'Abby'similar-'This', I doubt your that it actually is, 'That'. Your categorizing/placing my post, in your 'Dear Abby' box, is your doing. I have not asked for a pat on the shoulder, or clever/ready made solutions. But like a human enqirerer to another, I presented my crises/dilamma in order to receive some sharing on this, from another fellow human. I did receive some truly insightful sharings, meeting me directly at the place where I presently am.. which truly quickened a seeing for me. But you seem to be, beyond all silly 'This'. So in what does _your_ lack of 'hopelessness' find its crutches ? JB.
