Guest guest
From the " Description " page on the NondualitySalon list: ....rather, what thirteenth century mystic, Jnaneshvar, says, rings loud and clear in this gathering: " Truly, there is neither bondage nor freedom; there is nothing to be accomplished. There is only the pleasure of expounding. " Today has been most enjoyable indeed, from that perspective :-). Anyway, this list is dedicated to the teachings of Nisargadatta Maharaj... is it really any surprise that on a list dedicated to a particular Guru, teachings related to that Guru will be expounded? But what inquiry do you speak of? That happens only in solitude and silent introspection, says Yoda :-). Guest guest
Just observing, .....how sometimes the spirit of inquiry becomes blocked in these discussions and wondering whether it has anything to do with ones initial introduction to nonduality and in particular the influence of books. Now that we are no longer limited to that non-interactive method, has anyone noticed how ex-book readers still tend to expound the way those great books of wisdom did? Admittedly the great teachings were and still are impressive, myself enjoyed many a day totally absorbed in them. But had i been listening to their words spoken out loud, i would have to admit, i was allowing myself to be preached to.
