Bhagavad Gita and here is an example from the Bible: John 5:39 " You search the Scriptures for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. John 5:40 " but you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life. Paul
Guest guest
- " Paul Cote " <pjcote <Nisargadatta > Wednesday, June 27, 2001 3:20 PM Dave-Re: There is nothing to purify > so do you sort of disappear and lose consciousness? It depends on what you mean by consciousness. What is usually called consciousness arises from a (mis)perception, imposed on our natural state of 'unknowing'. Unconsciousness is not the correct word for that state. > in your heart, there is a sense of " I AM " or " Me " ... surrender your > will to that... obey that... consider that Krishna, Jesus, Allah or > Shiva whatever... surrender to yourself.. You're probably talking about what is generally termed your 'conscience'. That 'subtle voice' or 'intrinsic feeling' probably originated from external cultural and social influences. It obstructs your natural intelligence from unfolding. ~dave
