Guest guest
Wim and others, I never found my " purpose " in life... I sort of don't know what I am doing here in this world. So I keep being best I can. I cannot say it leads anywhere but I cannot see how to contribute to the society. " Even when one sees war or pain or hunger or suffering, one remains in wonder... Right action will follow... " Remaining in wonder that I am, that's about where I get. I can relate to that but still it is not how society is and the rent needs to be payed. I cannot chase after money anymore....any ambitions fall away... Any feed back? Thanks caiti Get email alerts & NEW webcam video instant messaging with Messenger http://im. Guest guest
Caiti: I was wondering the same thing. Then someone told me that although he did not know his purpose in life, he was sure God new his purpose in life. He was sure that it was not important to know his purpose in life. Instead, he puts one foot in front of the other and does the next right thing. Perhaps my only purpose is to keep close to God and then he takes care of everything else. As far as ambition? Forget it, and do the next right thing and get a job if you have to pay the rent. Do the legwork and leave the results to God. We seem to be in the same boat. hey matey Paul Nisargadatta, Caiti <caitionline> wrote: > Wim and others, > I never found my " purpose " in life... > I sort of don't know what I am doing here in this world. Guest guest
Thanks Paul for your reply, yes, it is how it sounds... I guess I need to allow for God to work in any way and try to get out of the way and not interfere with my thoughts, guilt, ideas, whatever ....just settling into this being the tool... It is a very remote approach to what I can see around myself in the society... and therefore the doubts arise now and then slipping into " I should " this or that, what...??... and so on. greetings caiti Get email alerts & NEW webcam video instant messaging with Messenger http://im. Guest guest
You know, my dear Paul and Caiti, Paul's advice is the best there is. Make sure though that the steps are small and that when you start feeling better, that you keep them small. Pacing yourself... And if needed... (Caiti, are sometimes weepy or... so very sad?) go to a doctor and get some medication... I will write more about it if you want me to... Oh, and about staying close to God... within and without, remember? inside is outside, but you may not feel that yet. Caiti, do you pray...? I'll answer Love, Wim I also mean I'll answer in my next post to you Paul [pjcote] Wednesday, September 05, 2001 7:43 AM Nisargadatta Re: Purpose in Life Caiti: I was wondering the same thing. Guest guest
Wim, not so weepy now, more steady but a bit lost. " What am I about " is the question at hand. And always this feeling what to do in life? So very sad? I guess I was... am? Presently I help in small ways... sometimes it can be uttering a right sentence or so, support someone... there I can really relate to what you said about small steps. Inside same as outside, yes, that is a guiding idea in my mind if I say so. How much do I live it? Not sure to be honest. Do I pray? I am not conditioned in any specific religion if I express myself so. But when the prayer happens on its own accord in me it is just there and that is fine with me. It is more like gratefulness, not that I ask for anything special. Presently I'd say I'm learning to speak directly from the point of truth which I feel inside myself. greetings caiti --- Wim Borsboom <wim wrote: > You know, > my dear Paul and Caiti, > Paul's advice is the best there is. > Make sure though that the steps are small > and that when you start feeling better, > that you keep them small. > > Pacing yourself... > > And if needed... > (Caiti, are sometimes weepy or... so very sad?) > go to a doctor and get some medication... > I will write more about it if you want me to... > > Oh, and about staying close to God... > within and without, remember? > inside is outside, > but you may not feel that yet. > > Caiti, do you pray...? > > I'll answer > > Love, Wim > I also mean I'll answer in my next post to you > > > Paul [pjcote] > Wednesday, September 05, 2001 7:43 AM > Nisargadatta > Re: Purpose in Life > > Caiti: > > I was wondering the same thing.
