Guest guest
As the Absolute, you were free from all concepts, including the primary concept " I Am " . You did not have this concept " I Am " in the course of the nine months in the womb. Understand this state of affairs; the concept " I Am " comes spontaneously and goes spontaneously. Amazingly, when it appears, it is accepted as real. All subsequent misconceptions arise from that feeling of reality in the " I Amness " . Why am I totally free? Because I have understood the unreality of that " I Am " . From 3-4-81 Consciousness and the Absolute ..

Hi, I am a bit confused ... ...here, the 'I am', seems to be linked to the ego,..the source of all misconceptions. ... while other places, if I remember correctly, he seems to say that being as/with the 'I am', Is (entrance to) 'That' ..'true-self' .. Can anyone clarify ? regards, jb
Guest guest
Perhaps its up to us where/what we link the " I am " to, either Ego (which need not nor cannot be destroyed) or Sentience. Whichever we choose to identify with will determine much. It is simply the sense of presence, prior to any concept of individuality. From the standpoint of the Absolute, the manifest consciousness is also unreal, yet as Maharaj says so often, that is our only capital. It is only by stabilzing in that consciousness, that the consciousness is transcended. Ted

This can not be brought about by any practice. I expect you know that. El
