Guest guest
Most of us by now know the spiritual benefits of being in the now. However the benefits to body and mind are even greater. We all know the harmful effects of runaway emotions, worries and fears. So be mindful of all your emotions and thoughts every moment you can! Look at you thoughts. Be aware of your thoughts. To know the hidden thoughts or camouflaged thoughts look at your emotions. Just go inside and be aware of every feeling, every emotion. Don't analyze or judge. Just look! These thoughts and emotions will loose their power when observed. Then, if you have not yet made contact with your Self, realize who is observing the thoughts and emotions! Everyday make the habit of observing your thoughts and emotions. Also be aware of yourself observing your thoughts! If the above makes some sense to you. Read the book, " The Power of Now " by Eckhart Tolle. Upto now [page 23] I haven't found one redundant [nor difficult to understand] paragraph in this book! If you do not have access to this book, let me know and I will be posting extracts in the SufiMystic group. Guest guest
The next step is to see that emotions are not real a neither is the Now. These suggestions sound like a lot of effort. What I have been doing requires no effort. Which is not to react to illusions. We have to read all the books, and do all the practices, until there are no more practices, there are no more books, there is only truth. >Jan Sultan <swork >Nisargadatta >sufiMystic > Be in the now for body and mind >Sat, 22 Dec 2001 17:33:39 +0300 > >Most of us by now know the spiritual benefits of being in the now. >However the benefits to body and mind are even greater. >We all know the harmful effects of runaway emotions, worries and fears. > >So be mindful of all your emotions and thoughts every moment you can! >Look at you thoughts.
