Guest guest
When Gurdjieff was asked how it was to be awake, he said " Everything more vivid " . This is not to contradict what you wrote though... just to say that finding oneself less " involved " with the activities that fill our day does not mean that we get insensitive to life or that our senses become subdued. My impression is that to be able to study ourselves we need to be less identified / more objective (to the extent possible) and also more sensitive. From your observation, it seems you are on the right track.. but dont expect to get " enlightened " that soon! s. I mean you still do the things that need to be done, like the dishes and the washing and the homework, but you don't feel like bungee jumping and white water rafting, all for the sake of a new experience. You don't have to exercise madly or go to a special restaurant, or go camping in the mountains either, there is a contentment that comes over and you start to see the useless anxiety that comes from desiring > --- > Mario Laing
