Guest guest
> This is a cliche, > but it is so, > it is either easy or impossible. This is not exactly a joiner / answer to your comment... Have you ever noticed a clear perception at a certain moment & then a blurry vision at some other? Have you ever had a good meditation sitting when you felt one with the world at some times & then at others when you couldnt even hold on to the thread of mindfulness / attention? Have you found yourself at silent & at peace at times & filled with anger, irritation, etc at another? What I am saying is that its not always this or that. State of enlightenment may / may not be permanent (I dont know).. but I know for sure that for a seeker, states of BEING, understanding, etc. vary from moment to moment. Someday we are nearer to an understanding ourselves & sometimes very cut off. Understanding always comes in the present, but yet, the process is gradual. What was impossible at a point of time is possible at another & sometimes, vice versa. And now, just some fun with what you said -> You say - it is either easy or impossible. I could say... It is neither easy nor impossible. However, I do agree with your statement (it is either easy or impossible). Is that a contradiction? If it's not one, what is? ----------------- Well, so much for fun with words.. whatever that was worth. On a more serious note, playing with words is OK... but can words alone enable us understand people like Nisargadatta? Ranjit Maharaj used to say ... " HE is there from where words come back " A friend lovingly explained me this just coupale of days back ... I put his words down exactly without editing (we dont bother about grammer, correct English while communicating). M here stands for Maharaj. ------------- The taste for the things that are true are always beyond words, can feel it in yourself, too much in love with words, world is full of words, then, we are in love with it, with illusion, M says " Don't love the body, love Reality " , body/mind, full of words, follow? ------------- I post his words with uncertainty as I deeply value his advice and if these words are not reflected upon to understand but become a subject of discussion for the sake of discussion, then it is unfortunate. This is often the case with words of people like Nisargadatta. They are like gems.. We can try to understand the spirit of the words & allow them to lead us to what is possible using words.... can we " keep inside what we have received, value it and act accordingly " OR.. We can just use them to make our point, discuss & sound fancy. -------------------------- I think its always a good idea to ask oneself what one is doing here & reflect upon what would be useful to us & to other members in this forum before posting here. Guest guest
Sundeep That was good - taste of things is beyond words. Just the other day,I was trying to describe a Mehdi Hassan ghazal " kaise Chupaunu raz-e gham in words - you convinced me to give up. Just curious - i see a little different version of dabadoo Sandeep here! Ghazal - In Nisargadatta, " i_wish_2b " <i_wish_2b> wrote: > > This is a cliche, > > but it is so, > > it is either easy or impossible. > > This is not exactly a joiner / answer to your comment... > > Have you ever noticed a clear perception at a certain moment & then a > blurry vision at some other? > > Have you ever had a good meditation sitting when you felt one with > the world at some times & then at others when you couldnt even hold > on to the thread of mindfulness / attention? > > Have you found yourself at silent & at peace at times & filled with > anger, irritation, etc at another? > > What I am saying is that its not always this or that. > > State of enlightenment may / may not be permanent (I dont know).. but > I know for sure that for a seeker, states of BEING, understanding, > etc. vary from moment to moment. > > Someday we are nearer to an understanding ourselves & sometimes very > cut off. > > Understanding always comes in the present, but yet, the process is > gradual.
