Thanks El for the pointer. What i really liked about Swami

Paramatmananda's devotional account is that how Maharaj gives him a

fruit and takes a huge pair of cymbals and starts to sing a

devotional song to his Guru. This is called tradition, not something

that we see very often in American satsangs. If it was an American

guru, how would he make up for the lack of tradition? He'd probably

give the Swami a fruit bar, listen to a meditation CD by the musician

Ananda Dass (referred to as Shirley by her old friends) and meditate

for 15 minutes (timed by a beeping stopwatch) and leave the satsang

just in time to watch his favorite tv show, the Osbournes on MTV (not

to be taken seriously, just humor.)
