Hi Leo,

I am between those first ones in the 60's, to receive a TM mantra,

for a certain amount of money.. these days is quite expensive.

I also got many 'advanced techniques'.. for more money ..

At that time the promise was : Cosmic Consciousness in 5-8 years ..

I never got it .. and those who continued for another 20 years never

got it either ..

you can repeat Om, amen, Coca-cola or M's mantra ..

it's all the same.. you can achieve a very good sleep..

and apparent relaxation .. which is just a carpet thrown on top of

one's neurosis, which keeps on boiling ..

repeat.. repeat ..

utter foolishness !

 

When people started to complain about the non-getting of CC, he

retreated and came up with courses for levitation.. which from some I

know who took it first hand.. is a series of muscle contractions and

hopping around ..

great ! .. so what ?! .. siddhis !.. they say .. wow !

 

Some of the commercial pictures of supposedly levitating folk,

according to one of my friends and ex-TM-Governer (top teacher), they

were falsified .. just putting some black paper under a chap sitting

in lotus position ..

 

We are so silly and gullible, we'll fall for anything exotic, sweet

and spiritual sounding words or tricks 'proven' scientifically ! ..

 

Of course I am aware that what I have written has no value for you ..

obviously you are TMer ..

so go on, repeat, repeat .. and

hope for the best..

... 'one day, TM will take over the world And its governments..'

... right ? .. says the 'Divine plan' ..

 

How can such a conditioned and tradition bound and anchored trip,

ever lead beyond itsself ? ..

except to a dull mind ..

interpretted as 'transcendentally peaceful' ..

and tricky ..

: the title should've been : 'Maharishi live on' .. not Nisar.. !

Labels ... are useful but I wouldn't get identified with them ... just a hook on which someone can hang an idea.. like Hi Leo.. You are a tmmer.. they are really meaningless labels.. but i suppose they serve a purpose..

 

Sorry to hear of your bitter experiences but thats how things go..being grateful for whatever life brings you is Joy for no reason.. and it lasts !!

 

Neither would i make much of an issue about all the scientific evidence.. theres universities filled with it on the effects of that particular meditation practice.. verfied.. or shall we say - emperical

 

I too spent some time in the Drakensburg mountains in south africa with a siddha group..

I was close enough to know that your experience contradicts my experience..

 

Of course TM was designed for the worldly person rather than the reclusive celibate monk, the family person, the working person etc rather than the cave dwelling hermit.

 

Well... I would say that there is too much evidence to the contrary to understand why you have the perspective you do, but thats okay.. You are allowed it..
