Guest guest
to quote you... " nisargadatta and some others are like mountains, " ...well, this is often how i feel. it's impossible to compare a modern, living and an american teacher to ramana or nisargadatta. among the modern advaita teachers, catherine has a special place in that...she started 10 years ago in cambridge, mass. after she left, she suggested that the group read chapters from " i am that. " this was part of the chain of events that eventually led to my introduction into advaita. like most advaita teachers catherine's message is very simple. her message is even simpler in that she debunks spiritual myths/theories and asks the questioner to speak directly from the experience. i attended to two talks by her and i must say i was impressed by the new yorkers. their questions were geniune. hur Nisargadatta, ariel cathcart <arielcathcart> wrote: > some teachers seem to have all the words but the > substance ,nisargadatta and some others are like > mountains --- sam pasiencier <sampas22000> > wrote: > > > > > hurg <hurg> wrote: > > This weekend I am travelling to New York City to > > attend the talks > > with Catherine Ingram. > > > > Her website is: http://www.geocities.com/~cathing/ > > > > Hur > > > > > > > > > > Her website has a hidden web bug..Don't like that.. > > seems a bit commercial minded to me..
