Guest guest
Why do self-inquiry? There is no " why " to it. Questions arise spontaneously, born of the false answers we were programmed with, individually/collectively, genetically/psychologically. Discover, and see thru, the false answers already there. End of questions. End of enquiry. Ahhhhhhhhhh SNM: To know what you are, ~~~~~~you must first investigate and know what you are not.~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Discover all that you are not--body, feelings, thoughts, time, space, this or that--nothing, concrete or abstract, which you perceive can be you. The very act of perceiving shows that you are not what you perceive. The clearer you understand that on the level of mind you can be described in negative terms only, the quicker will you come to the end of your search and realize that you are the limitless being. Guest guest
El, >Why do self-inquiry? >There is no " why " to it. >Questions arise spontaneously, >born of the false answers we were programmed with, >individually/collectively, >genetically/psychologically. >Discover, and see thru, the false answers already >there. There is no one to discover, there is just discovering taking place which in turn has nothing to do with that. Why do you assume that cause (in the form contemplation of what you are not) will result in effect(realization that you are the limitless being). Isn't the mind that is fixed in causality the real culprit? THAT is beyond causality, so how can doing something ( including apperceiving) really help? >End of questions. >End of enquiry. Now we're getting nowhere, which is where we wanna get to. :-) ----- Anand. ______________________ Want to sell your car? advertise on Autos Classifieds. It's Free!! visit http://in.autos. There is not only not a " you " that discovers what " it " assumed what was so, is not so-- there isn't even discovering, because there is nothing to discover! there isn't even programming, because programming assumes there is something there to be programmed! What a wonderful mind-fuck, hey! That is if there were a mind! The great assumed " memory of man " built on quick sand. Signed, a point of Void (That is if there were even anything there to start with to be void of anything) Nevertheless, when assumed specks of dust appear in assumed point of Void, they light up like a Christmas Tree and shine with so-called awareness. What a wonder! ..
