Guest guest
As long as you consider yourself a person, you have choice. You can go it alone, listening to no one, other than the still silent voice within. Or you can choose one outer guru, living or not living, great or not great, (you aren't able to tell the difference). Sanity.

"no free will" and there is nothing you can do to follow your guru's spontaneous pathless path.c. "no free will" or "free will" are gross approximations, simplistic models of a complex reality. d. i am not sure but you can get definetely screwed with or without the belief in free will. i know, i tried them both. right, your free will helps......you won't follow your gurus demand to jump out the window. right, you decided to get the computer fixed since Not contributing to this Forum is Not an Option.... 3. What can I do to achieve enlightenment? you can do...?a. lots of thinking, searching, reading to find the truthb. nothing. stop the search. call the cows home.c. something and eat the popcorn. don't spoil the movie "enlitenment now." i was just getting into it. d. i don't know but you can mow my lawn for me, do the dishes and ask me again. re: b, 98% of intelligent beings don't have cows or farms so they contemplate and practice Enlightenment. The closer IB gets to nature the less they contemplate Enlightenment (i.e., post on ). Instead they are Pagans and Taoists. re: a, thinking is fine..........searching and reading is for unenlightened losers, except of course if you only paste Quotes on what you once read so others can read.... You know that you are closer to Enlightenment when you can attend a Movie with a Different Intelligent Being every time; if you feel the desire to attend a movie by Yourself.........you are not a serious spiritual practitioner... 4. what to do next, should i...?a. give up this burden of free will and find release in the belief that i have no free will and everything happens by god's will (get me out of here now please. this duality is a scary business). b. get engaged in life. stop running away from failure. face my fears and actually start working?c. buy my guru's book, "no free will, nothing you can do, then why did you buy this book you Mr. DuMass?" and despite her insults, continue to worship at her feet. isn't she cute?d. i don't know but you look like you need a date. Hahahaa, trick question.......why should I buy anything or are you about to charge me to contribute to this Forum? re: d, how should I know how you look........a real nondualist never Posts their personal photos on the Net. 5. can I eliminate my ego?a. yes, after 40 years practice of chanting and meditations, the ego will disappear and the best part is "no work."b. perhaps partially...but the identification with the ego remains at some level.c. no, you'd be dead, hello?d. i don't know but in the mean time would you like an extra chair for your ego? Yes, all who attained and sustained the Absolute Egoless state are nonliving (they are Unknown) Those who are closest to that state, that remain near that state the longest were blessed by God to be born Certified Schizophrienic. I include in that category Jesus Christ, Joan of Arc, and some of my family members. 6. who am I?a. you are the atman, the universal selfb. you are the consciousness, the brahman. all the mystical scriptures say atman is brahman.c. oh no, grandpa run away from the alzheimers unit again and does not remember who he is.d. you stole that copyrighted question, the answers and the joke from your guru big daddyji. now you owe him big time. You have amnesia. It's been fun not knowing you (I didn't given in to stealing uncopyrighted questions so You don't have to remember Me)hurd_agenda
