....story about Ramana...

apparently this man sought all his life for reality/truth,

all that, and took great pains to find Ramana.

when he finally reached Arunachala after great effort

and was allowed to see the Bhagwan,

all Ramana said to him was " go back from where you came " .

Hy El et al,

Just barged into the forum..and my few cents.

Sounds abusive enough, but was he rather pointing this guy to investigate

the source of the " you " (or me-entity) ?

From one standpoint the " me " never came into existence,

it simply doesn't exist; yet from another perspective it appears to have a

relative existence and an origin. Confusing, contradictory.. well ask the

dude called Nagarjuna he was master in switching standpoints at lightning

speed, yet he was clear as daylight - free from all standpoints while

accepting all viewpoints.

The return trip of the " you " and the origin of " me "

are they the same or different ?

In What does the " me " arise and cease ?

some thoughts to ponder..and while we're on it - is there

re-incarnation or not ? if so what reincarnates ?

A guy who goes by the name 'Easy' on the advaita forum

mentioned that Ramesh B. once told him that he must have

been into this sort of thing in the past, why else would

he have been to India at such an early age ?

Was Ramesh joking ?

:)
