Among many branches of Hinduism, it is in Tamil Saivism

that we can find kundalini explained to realise God.

However, this was practised secretly and was handed over only to a handful of people.

On the way, it also got corrupted due to misguided sexual practices.

It also got corrupted by those who misinterpreted Saivaite scriptures

using their knowledge of Tamil taught in the universities.
