Guest guest
" So long as a person considers effort as his personal effort, with the purpose of achieving something, he is rejecting the all-mightiness of the Almighty. So long as a person wants something from the Almighty, he is rejecting the fact of " Thy will be done. " True love of God means surrender to him, wanting nothing, not even salvation. Guest guest
a mysterious mental state happens. we cannot explain it. we pick up a book. this particular books tells us, " there is no doer, you are consciousness. " we say, " oh that! so that's what it was. " now the mysterious mental state has a name and a theory behind it. when a similar mysterious mental state happens again, this time we have the realization, " all this happened before. everything happens by itself. causality exists only in time. this is an illusion. " if you believe you're the doer, this is an interpretation of a mental state. if you believe there is no doer, then this is also an interpretation of a mysterious mental state. at the end they're both mental states. even the advaitan's allmighty Consciousness is a mental state, the movie where dualism and nondualism plays. hur Nisargadatta, Davè <daver@w...> wrote: > " So long as a person considers effort as his personal effort, with the > purpose of achieving something, he is rejecting the all-mightiness of the > Almighty.
