making no judgements

" make no judgements. " this old chestnut is heated and served over and

over again regardless of what spiritual group one encounters. my

reaction inspired by alice in wonderland as i am standing in a dual

world that i cannot believe, " i dare say you don't have much

imagination. why, sometimes i have made as many as hundred

judgements before breakfast. "

 

i find " make no judgements " practice particularly funny if it comes

from a neo-advaita believer who also s to the " no choice "

concept. if there is no you, if it's all god, then who's making the

effort of making no judgement? mischievously i say, " well, i'm not

the one who's making the judgement. god is...blame god. " this

defense won't get you off the hook though since we credit god only

for the fortunate outcomes, we end up getting charged for the screw

ups.
