ice cream is all there is

I love Swami Häagen-Dazs' argument: all we can know is ice cream, ice

cream is all there is. If there was something beyond and better than

ice cream we could never know it because we could not be taste it.

Cones, chairs, the shop, etc. are ONLY beliefs. " Tasting ice cream "

is simply another name for experience. All we know is what we

experience. Knowing is simply tasting ice cream. Delusion is " non-ice

cream " concepts, the ice cream depraved mind, the feeling and false

belief that we can know more than the ice cream flavored world.

I use the above argument with the non-believers in the ice cream

reality, saying that ice cream is self-evident, what is in doubt is

the existence of the ice cream shop.

hur

ps. this post is actually a comedic rendition on a hindu related

traditional advaita vedanta argument. mostly what i did is simply

switched the word " consciousness " with ice cream.

Yeah, hur, I think you're one of the few here, who

understands how ridiculous the Advaita position sounds

when we try to put it into words. Obviously, there is

duality at some level, and it doesn't go away, by just

pretending it isn't there. We are in the position of

a contortionist who manages to screw himself, and

finds that his dick loves it, but his ass hates it,

and yet,he is unable to stop. So we are one, but our

dick is in our ass and we hate it. Can we stop fucking

ourselves? Think about it! :)))

For that excellent reply to my snotty message, you can

consider yourself knighted to the order of the Holy

Pepper. :)

Enlightenment is a gilded cage. When you accept the

label of enlightenment, you have to live up

to the expectations the label carries with it, which

as you know, are pretty high. In other words you have

to perform not only to the expectations of those who

believe in your enlightenment, but yours as well.

Why would anyone looking for liberation become a

prisoner in such a cage?

Freedom, my friend, is the name of the game. Freedom

from all expectations, yours, as well as those of

others. Total spontaneity.

Love,

Pete
