Guest guest
I have just finished " I Am That " and wondered if anyone had extracted just the practice of " I Am " (I've seen the stuff at the nonduality salon). I have studied some Fourth Way texts the practice of " Self Remembering " which I'm convinced is the same thing. There are many description of " Self Remembering " to be found like: http://www.sun- angel.com/articles/pw/thework/chapt2.html#self_remembering Thanks, Shawn
Guest guest
I have experience with only one 4th Way school, and much of the reading available. My experience has been that " Self Remembering " is an effective tool in observation and knowledge, but I have seen no progression into who that Self actually is or that said Self is not of the individual, but contains all through Love. If one was to stop at an understanding of who " I Am " , perhaps the same could be said of both. One would be hard-pressed to find a Vadanta teacher who does not, from the very begining, stress that that " I Am " is contained in all. My observation had been that there was not a movement towards Love with " Self Remembering " , But that the Ego was strengthened. Shortly after leaving that path i discovered both Ramana Maharshi and Maharaj. Immediate recognization of 'that was what was missing' occurred.
