Guest guest
If one believes in an omnipotent, benevolent Creator, obviously one has a hell of a problem understanding how an all wise Creator could ordain this mess of a world. The fact is that there is no creator and no thing has ever been created. Suffering and evil happen to no one in particular. They are created by our clinging to life, happiness and impermanent forms. We fail to realize the whole universe is a dream, an appearance in consciousness. We are immerse in the dream and considered real. We consider ourselves as dream character real too. Therefore, the anguish of gain and lost. Suppose within this dream you will realize you are dreaming and are not a dream character, but the dreamer. Suppose the dream would continue, now you could adopt the perspective of the spectator. The dream then loses its nightmarish quality. When the Absolute tries to see itself through a conscious organism, it sees itself as an alien universe and misidentifies itself as an individual consciousness. That is the dream, that is maya. Liberation is when consciousness realizes that the trinity of Absolute, universe and consciousness are one and the same. Then a shift occurs in the mind. What we consider an alien universe is an infinite image of ourselves. What we consider our consciousness becomes and infinite absolute unknown.
