Hi Dan:Under close scrutiny even the most rationally constructed positions and systems are demonstrably incoherent and irrational. Any of this four alternatives " is " , " is not " , " both is and isn't " , " neither is nor isn't " , can be demonstrated to be invalid and inadequate. All thinking presupposes the categories 'identity' and 'difference,' but these categories are incoherent and have no referent.Language does not refer to things, but is self-referential. The deep-seated, driving propensity to create the illusion of conceptual order through asking for example " Say something really meaningful " inply a clinging to cognitive positions and presuppositions. That was too meaningful, not really meaningful :-) I guess it's up to me, then, to say something really meaningful. I'm at the end of my message now :-) Dan

Let see, I'm still learning > I'm at the end of my message now :-) A good " zen like " answer but seems to intellectual [tautology]. I'm at the end of my message now :-) I never knew of these philosophical conundrums and controversies and problems until I came to Tiruvannamalai and people began to pester me. Up till then I had never concerned myself with them. I never knew any system of phylosophy. All these systems have evolved out of the one simple fact of realization. Therefore , seek realization, practice vichara , and do not worry about philosophies and systems and problems.
