Guest guest
"There is a story told in India--we shall Americanize it--about a frog from Lake Superior who went down to the farm country where there were many cows. Where the cows walked they left hoofprints, and when the rain fell the depressions in the ground from their hoofs were filled with water. A little tadpole is born in this hoof-puddle. The frog from the hoof-puddle meets the frog from Lake Superior and asks, "Where do come from?" "I live in Lake Superior." "Where is that?" "It's very far away." "Do you have enough water there?" "Sure, we have enough water." "Is it as big as this hoof-puddle?" "As big as this one? What are you talking about, Tad-pole? It's much bigger than that.?" "Bigger than that? "Yes" So the tadpole jumps from one hoof print to another hoof print and asks, "As big as that? I can jump across your Lake Superior!" "No, no, no--not from here to there. It's much, much bigger." So the tadpole jumps from hoof print to hoof print to hoof print about ten times, and then he says to the frog from Lake Superior, "As big as that?" "No, that is nothing." "Then you are a liar. No such place can exist!" First, we need to clarify our motives in seeking God. Second, we need to drop all our existing ideas about God. Any suggestions I make about God are false ones. Any statement I make is incomplete. Every word spoken about God is meaningless. There is no point in endlessly reading books about God. The only point is clearing the mind: "What do I want? Do I want to know God?" And if you really want to know, then you don't need to read this book. from "God" by PanditUsharbudh Arya
