Guest guest
fox, You seem to be assuming that because his bodymind yelled at somebody that he was taken out of being-consciousness-bliss. Maybe that person needed to be yelled at at that moment. That quote was meaningful to me because I have been asking the same question (in many different forms) for a lot longer than two years. This includes reading books, websites, etc., looking for the " answer. " When I do read or hear something that makes me go " aha! " it's because it resonates with something I already know! So it's as if I'm addicted to getting the " aha! " from outside sources, when the " aha! " is right here. The problem is not that I don't know the answer. The answer is pointing directly back at myself. The problem is that I would rather keep asking the question than look at myself and see what I am doing. That's what Nisargadatta was telling that person. Mark Is it true that Nisarga claimed the following: To me nothing ever happens. There is something changeless, motionless, immovable, rock-like, unassailable; a solid mass of pure being-consciousness-bliss. I am never out of it. Nothing can take me out of it, no torture, no calamity. Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj ???- - --- If so, how could one possibly understand this reaction: This is not an exact quote, but close enough. Nisargadatta (not one of your more patient gurus) screamed at one of his questioners: " Are you some kind of an idiot? You've been asking me the same question for two years! " Mark (posted on DirectApproach Group) ---------------------------- thanks for clarification! fox www.feel.ch
