A question about Trika Philosophy....

I will ask this question here as this place seems quite active and

well traveled. In reading about Trika Philosphy, there seems to be so

much emphasis placed upon the various stages of concealment (The 36

Tattvas). There seems to be no mention of these 'stages' in my other

readings (say nisargadatta, and other exponents of non-dualism). I

was just wondering why all the emphasis is placed upon all these

tattvas in Pratyabhijna or The Doctrine of Recognition?
